Are any of you familiar with the literary genre of magical realism? In this genre a story is taking place in a very realistic world, preferably our own modern world, but some things that happen cannot be explained and sometimes can't even realistically happen. That's magical realism. It's very confusing. Sometimes natural laws are defied in such a way that it looks realistic, but in fact isn't. Or the other way around the things that happen are very realistic, only for some reason they can't have happened.

Just moments ago, I settled in a chair before the tv, while I drank my last cup of tea of this evening. A new show started: about Denmark, it had to do something with politics. From a birds eye perspective I saw Copenhagen. I saw the inside of the Danish parliament, men on the steps of the royal palace. The quality of he images was poor.

World leaders held speeches, one after another: they expressed their regret at a leader's death: Kofi Annan, George Bush, European Commission President Prodi: Danish Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen had been assassinated.

His wife was telling how it had happened. Her husband kissed her and left the house in his car with his bodyguards. She heard an explosion and felt something was wrong, went into her car and drove the way she believed her husband had been driven. A car was shown, exploded, with bodies in it. Red-white ribbon before it, police cars around it. She was held back by the police.

Fellow politicians were interviewed, on the left and the right. A fellow member of his party told that they were about to hold a party meeting that afternoon.

Several older men in light grey suits held a mourning ceremony, showing pictures of him.

It turned out an leftist anarchist had committed the crime. A fellow anarchist was briefly interviewed.

The show continued about a girl whose brother was killed on the rails at a railway station after he fell off the platform. Police jumped on him and he was suffocated, whether purposefully or accidentally was not clear.

Then it continued about a 5 year old boy in Greenland, whose parents died in a snowstorm and who had to spent some five winter months on his own with nobody looking after him.

That's when I stopped watching and started to check the news: had I missed something? Wasn't Anders Fogh Rasmussen Denmarks current prime minister?

I switched on tv text and looked up the programming of today's shows. At 00.40 AM night tv started on all public channels, repeats of 3 shows already aired that day on one of them. But it was 01:03 AM and this show was not one of them! It wasn't supposed to be aired, still it was being aired! According to the list, this show didn't exist.

I checked BBC News online: no news on Rasmussen's death. Anders Fogh Rasmussen is Denmark's current prime minister and he lives!

What the fuck?

Umm... yeah... size kinda does matter sometimes.

Nuclear_Winter: Who is more foolish, the fool, or the fool who follows him?
Aidun: the fool who follows him
Aidun: Because if you walk behind the herd, you step in the poop of others
Nuclear_Winter: But you get to see the sheep's asses!
